General Information
Founded in 2006, Aikido San Miguel is a non-profit traditional and dynamic school of Aikikai Aikido for ages 12 and up of all genders in San Miguel de Allende, GTO, Mexico.
Aikido San Miguel is directly affiliated with Aikido Sansuikai México, which itself is directly recognized by Hombu Dojo. All certificates and ranks offered by Aikido San Miguel are officially recognized worldwide.
Our dojo at Aikido San Miguel has the good fortune of having various high-quality instructors. Our head instructor is Kali Hewitt-Blackie Sensei who holds the title of Shidoin and the rank of Godan (5th degree black belt) with more than 34 years of practice.
In this dojo we practice with sincerity, ever seeking to conquer our own ego and harmonize with our practice partners.
At Aikido San Miguel we do not discriminate against gender, race, sexual identity, gender identity, rank and knowledge, personal economy, physical abilities or disabilities, religion or other such personal factors. So long as the student is willing to practice with sincerity according to her or his own abilities, follow the norms of dojo etiquette and respect her or his fellow practitioners, she or he will always be welcome.
